HUB 67 | Project Rán – The Unique Selling Proposition

Scalable. Replicable.

Project Rán is the project and brand concept for the development of a modern security architecture for the protection of maritime critical infrastructure. Its focus lies on offshore wind farms, offshore platforms, subsea cables, pipelines, substations, LNG-related facilities and other maritime assets whose disruption or failure could have significant economic, energy-policy and security implications.

The basic model of Project Rán is built on an integrated security architecture. It combines sensor fusion, control-centre operations and autonomous systems with drone-in-a-box or docking-station structures. Its objective is to detect threats at an early stage, verify them reliably and transfer them into standardised response and escalation processes.

Operationally, Project Rán follows the logic of “Detection – Verification – Escalation”. Anomalies within the maritime operating picture are intended to be identified through appropriate sensing and data interfaces at an early stage. Autonomous platforms, EO/IR-supported verification and structured incident processes create the basis for the rapid assessment of threats or security-related events and their orderly transfer to operators, security authorities or other competent stakeholders.

Aligned with the priorities of the EU, NATO and industry.

Project Rán is therefore not merely a technical stand-alone product, but a platform for scalable protection solutions. Its objective is to establish new security standards for maritime critical infrastructure, enable pilot projects with operators and industrial partners and, over time, build operating companies that can be replicated across multiple regions or jurisdictions.

For operators and public authorities, Project Rán provides access to a structured, multi-layered security approach. For industrial partners, it opens up a field for cooperation, integration and system development. For investors, it offers access to a market driven by resilience requirements, growing infrastructure demand and increasing political and economic relevance.

Project Rán thus exemplifies HUB 67’s broader approach:
bringing together technology, project development, capital, public-sector relevance and industrial implementation within a strategically significant security environment.
